As a company focused on eldercare sector, already have partners and clients in Spain, Switzerland, UK, Italy, Mexico, and France and has worked for many years in analysing eldercare sector and studying market trends and disruptive innovations for this market. Ideable is not only a software company focused on research and innovation for eldercare sector, but also a company interested on the market exploitation and dissemination of the solutions in which we participate. Has a broad knowledge of European and Latam eldercare market. Ideable is responsible for Kwido (see more at www.kwido.com ) the international cloud platform for caring elderly people by accessible and usable mobile devices. It both works in promoting independent living at home, social connection, health monitoring, etc. Kwido also includes a rehabilitation platform for cognitive impairment based on serious games and teleconsultation features. In fact, an independent organization has published a study about Kwido as a successful tool for combating cognitive impairment.

Ideable is also a member some AAL projects (zocaalo, PETAL, DAPAS and IOANNA). Ideable has already been supported by a Horizon 2020 SME Instrument Phase 1 for its new version of Kwido, Kwido Telecare and already was accelerated by FICHe Fiware eHealth accelerator, in fact, was selected as one of the best 20 companies. In Spain, Ideable has been supported by Basque Goverment in SPRI’s NETS and Hazitek research and innovation programs every year since 2012. Ideable has been supported by Spanish Innovation public agency ENISA too and by the Ministry of Industry of Spain in the AESSD research program, always in research programs related to eldercare and technology. Ideable is an important stakeholder in the Spanish ehealth ecosystem and organized the eHealthBilbao congress along with de Bilbao City Council. and the AgingBilbao event in 2017.

Ana Aslan International Foundation (ANA) is a non-profit Research, Education and High-profile medical services organization, with special expertise in Aging and Brain Aging. Its mission is to integrate scientific progress into the medical and social practice of elderly care.This is achieved through promoting the holistic, integrated and personalized approach of aging, brain aging and related pathologies. Furthermore, the ANA has expanded its expertise in the field of applied ICT technologies for frail and dependent elderly, so that it not only helps prevent the aging related pathologies but promotes an active and healthy aging.

Starting with 2001, ANA has established the Canter for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Memory Diseases and Neuro-Rehabilitation and the Ana Aslan International Academy of Aging as its department of scientific research and development, acting as partner centres of excellence in the European Alzheimer’s Disease Consortium (EADC), European Association for Predictive, Preventive and Personalized Medicine (EPMA) and Ageing Well network for the Market uptake of ICT solutions for Elderly people.

ANA’s staff includes multidisciplinary teams implementing the latest methods and instruments for personalized prevention, early diagnosis and holistic-integrated interventional approach: doctors with multiple specializations: Geriatrics-Gerontology, Old Age Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, Psychology, Rehabilitation, Stress and Longevity Medicine.

Between 2010-2013 ANA coordinated the FP7-SOPHRD-2007-2013 BRAINAGING Strategic Project, which trained over 1,600 doctors and 2,400 nurses across Romania, based on an original, integrative curricula and syllabus elaborated for 6 medical specialties: Geriatrics, Neurology, Psychiatry, Molecular Medicine (including Genomics-Epigenetics and Metabolomics), Medical Imagistics, Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care.

In the past 10 years, ANA has accumulated extensive research, management and innovative experience as Medical Partner and Pilot Site in EU Funded Project within FP6-IST-STREP (K4CARE and SHARE-it), AAL-Active and Assisted Living (MobileSage, CONFIDENCE, Mobile.Old, CarerSupport, StayActive, MyMate, SeniorTV, TSBank, PETAL, IOANNA, Ella4Life, VirtuAAL, FrAAgiLe, POSITIVE), FP7-CIP-ICT (AgeingWell and E-NO FALLS) and LLP-Grundtvig (LiveWell).

In these projects, it fulfilled various tasks such as end-user profiling, technical and functional specifications, the assessment of end-user’s compliance to smart technology, the evaluation and validation of various smart technology prototypes in cooperation with elderly voluntary end-users. It also shared a high-level expertise in the related ethical issues.

terzStiftung (TERZ) is a non-profit foundation based in Berlingen, Switzerland. The foundation works in two main areas: as a representative body for mature people and as a general service provider in the market for elderly people. In our role as a service provider, we offer consulting services and an information-desk, consisting of a hotline, an online-magazine and a web-portal to advise and solve the problems of the foundations benefactors in the subjects “prevention & health”, “living & habitation”, “finances & law” and “mobility & activity”. As the representative body for mature people, terzStiftung works as a consumer-interest-organization and as a lobbyist for the needs of the generations around and beyond the pensioning age. The involved department focuses on research, stakeholder-dialogues and testing of products, facilities and services in order to support the generation-friendly shaping of politics, media, markets and infrastructures. terzStiftung issues her own media and campaign material to inform and disseminate around issues of active ageing, non-discrimination and social inclusion of older adults. About 400 seniors, aged between 50 and 85 years are currently enrolled with terzStiftung to voluntarily engage in the testing of products, facilities, infrastructure and services in their role as mature end-users and critical, informed customers. Throughout her network to private and corporate subjects, terzStiftung has access to older adults with various characteristics, environments and personal needs. Her reach covers people with different levels of independence, types of housing and physical and mental conditions, where the prime focus is the promotion of active, independent and self-determined living for longer. Our reach also covers various partners from the retirements homes and care sector given the background of key personnel and our services offered to retirement homes and outpatient services. In addition to consulting services, more than 100 quality labels have been issued by terzStiftung to Swiss retirement homes, based on surveys among employees, volunteers, residents and their relatives. terzStiftung will have a record of 18 (both past on ongoing) AAL-projects by the mid of 2019 in the capacity of an end-user organization. User-requirements and use-case analyses, conceptual designs and prototype-tests (lab and field) as well as research activities regarding market- and policy-relevant issues have ranked among her major responsibilities in this context.

University of Geneve. Our group is an entity, inside the University of Geneva, which is project oriented since many years. This applied research group has brought successfully innovation into our everyday life, collaborating jointly with many commercial partners. From fall detection, stress detection, smart heating, optimized logistics, this entity has a wide range of skills in machine learning, behaviour analysis, positioning, localization and mobile sensors. Thanks to a team composed by PhD students, software engineers, research engineers, physicist and project managers, this team will contribute to this project by using machine learning techniques, physics modelling, mathematics knowledge, academic numerical development skills and its experience of applied research projects. The TaM group of the University of Geneva will be responsible of the integration of all the mobile apps and especially of the tracking system the smartwatch used for activity monitoring.

Agecare (Cyprus) LTD – Materia Group,. Materia Group is a private sector social enterprise in Cyprus. It is a multi-shareholder organization, with 20 shareholders at the moment.  It provides a wide range of Care, Nursing and Rehabilitation Services to the Elderly Population of Cyprus, either at the clients’ homes or at Materia’s three facilities in Nicosia. It is considered the main private sector provider of holistic services to the elderly on the island. Philosophy and Management and operations team is based on a multi-disciplinary approach, aiming at best possible services for end user and their families. The group has a database of over 5000 elderly in the Nicosia region, mainly its current and Rehab alumni clients. The Group was a co-founder of the NGO Gerontology Research Center (www.gerocenter.org) along with the University of Nicosia. The mission is to provide a diverse range of Care, Nursing and Rehabilitation Services to the older population, whether at home, or in the organization’s 24hour care units, either as residents, short-term stay clients or out-patients. Examples of services offered are Physio Rehab center, home care, day care, cognitive enhancement program, family counselling, caregiver training program. Management and Operations team is based on an inter-disciplinary approach, aiming at best value services for end user and their families.In the context of the project, the MATERIA team will contribute to the gathering of user requirements and co-creation techniques, execution of pilot trials with older adults and caregivers, data acquisition and participate in dissemination activities.

Innolabor. Innovation Laboratory Ltd. was founded in 2015 with decades of R&D&I experience. Our basic activities consist of research, development and their marketing in various scientific and engineering fields. Colleagues of the Budapest headquarter are strong in analogue and digital circuit design, automation and embedded system development. At the headquarters in Miskolc the company deals with material development, and testing, error analysis of technological processes and does all of these with its unique analytical instrumentation. Major projects and references of the company:

  • Development of smart ICU bed: Development of a prototype of a hospital bed for intensive care, and home nursing. It’s a motorized hospital bed with integrated measuring devices and sensors for monitoring the important physiological parameters. The main goal is to eliminate the usual set of devices around the bed.
  • Kayak-canoe ergometer: Dry paddle pad that monitors the performance of athletes, with direct feedback of various parameters (like speed, distance, etc.). The device records these parameters and can recommend changes in training plans based on the trends of the measured performance. Using internet connection, the device is also able to be used for long distance competitive kayaking as well.
    In 2017-18 our company participated as a subcontractor in the AAL Clockwork project.

Bay Zoltáan Nonprofit Ltd. For Applied Research. Bay Zoltan (BZN) is the largest and most successful non-profit applied research organization in Hungary. Its mission is to enhance and support the development of sustainable competitiveness for Hungarian companies through innovation and technology transfer. University of Deusto, eVIDA (DEU). eVIDA is a research group of the University of Deusto committed to research on and development of ICT-based tools, systems and interventions for psychological, social and physical health. Over the last decade, eVIDA has established close working relationships with key local stakeholders including hospitals, charities, other research groups and ICT companies. eVIDA conducts applied research in two main areas. In the field of ICTs for Wellbeing, eVIDA researches, designs, develops and tests tools and systems which enable disabled people and the elderly to live more independent lives. eVIDA is involved in creating apps and for person-centred care, and various tele-medicine and tele-monitoring systems. Work in this area has included applied research aimed at assisting groups such as people with intellectual disabilities, people with autism, people with visual impairments, people with hearing impairments, and people with multiple sclerosis. In the field of health, eVIDA is specialized in creating diagnostic tools and systems and interventions for people with health. eVIDA is participating in SUNFRAIL project from the 3rd health Program, CATCH ITN Marie Sklodowska-Curie action and is active in EIP-AHA groups.The results of its research and its application have been published in over sixty scientific articles in international journals and books and have been presented over than 150 international scientific conferences. eVIDA has been awarded with the University of Deusto- Banco Santander Research Award in 2007 and the ONCE Euskadi-Solidarios Research Award in 2007. This team is part of various research networks such as the European Network of Livings Labs (ENoLL) under the name “Life Living Lab (L3Lab)” and the “Red de Espacios Sociales de Innovación (ESdI)” under the name “LS2TECH”.
